Reported coronavirus cases in Oklahoma surpass 75,000

The Associated Press - September 19, 2020 12:44 pm

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The number of reported coronavirus cases in Oklahoma has surpassed 75,000 with 1,237 more cases now reported. The Oklahoma State Department of Health on Saturday reported 75,804 cases and 943 deaths due to COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus.

The actual number of cases in Oklahoma is likely higher because many people haven’t been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected and spread the virus while not feeling sick.

The health department reported 10,901 active virus cases and that 63,960 people have recovered.
