Rep. Burns Visits East Middle School

Ponca City Public Schools/East Middle School-

Ty Burns, a former social studies teacher at East Middle School and wrestling coach, spoke at the Wildcat Way assembly this week at East about discipline and competition.

He is now an Oklahoma State Representative for District 35, as well as a rancher.

Rep. Burns spoke about the discipline required during his time in the military, where he served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

In addition, he spoke about the persistence needed in competition to be the best version of yourself.
