Remembering Sheriff Everette VanHoesen

The Ponca City Fire Department placed a flag above the intersection of Fourteenth Street and Highland Avenue Wednesday afternoon in honor of retired Sheriff Everette VanHoesen’s funeral procession. VanHoesen’s funeral was held at Grace Episcopal Church with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. The processional included his family and many vehicles from law enforcement agencies whose officers had worked with VanHoesen over the years of his career with the Ponca City Police Department and the Kay County Sheriff’s Office.
