Rain’s in the forecast through Saturday

Ponca City Now - October 23, 2019 4:37 pm

Ponca City Emergency Management Director Paula Cain says “we can expect rain to arrive very late Wednesday night, a result of the cold front that will arrive and lower our temperatures.”

That rain is likely to continue on Thursday and possibly into Friday and even Saturday, Cain said.

“But keep your chin up.  Sunday will be sunny with a high of 62° before it all starts again on Monday,” she said.

The good thing is none of this stormy weather will be severe.  There will be a few risks to keep in mind, that heavy rain could lead to flash flooding and lightning is possible.  Both of these things dangerous, and staying inside is the best option, Cain said.

Here’s what Thursday and the rest of the week could look like.
