Ponca Pride Pep Rally to kick of Smithsonian Exhibit at museum

The Pioneer Woman Museum will host “Hometown Teams,” a special traveling exhibit about sports in American, from July 25 through September 5.

"Hometown Teams" is a Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street traveling exhibit program. To kick off the exhibit, the Pioneer Woman Museum will hold a Ponca PRIDE Pep Rally on Saturday, July 25.

The rally will include Po-Hi cheerleaders, Hi-Steppers, athletes, the pep band, and more, along with a food truck and lots of activities for kids.

The rally starts at 10 a.m. July 25.

Local sponsors include Phillips 66, A+ Printing, the Ponca City Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. Museum Director Robbin Davis said additional local sponsors are needed.

Admission to the museum will be free all day July 25 and it is open to all.

The theme for the pep rally is "We Believe." Everyone is invited to wear their Wildcat gear or other sports teams.
