Ponca City’s First-Ever Goodwill Store Opening on May 4

PONCA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — Ponca City’s first-ever Goodwill store location will open on Thursday, May 4.

Goodwill will be hosting a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting for the new location in Ponca City on May 4. The event will be at the new Ponca City store and donation center, located at 2808 N 14th Street.

Before this new location, the closest Goodwill store was more than 40 miles away in Stillwater.

The first 100 people to go visit the store on May 4 will receive 10% off, which will be valid all day. The first 40 customers to the store will receive Goodwill Goodie Bags. Customers will also have the chance to meet Lucas Ross, also known as “Good Will.” There will also be some refreshments for customers at the grand opening, as well.

Shoppers who are familiar with Goodwill stores can expect an updated look to both the interior and exterior of the Ponca City store. The store features more visual storytelling and messaging about Goodwill’s mission, its impact as a non-profit, and as a leader in workforce development.

The event will kick off at 9 a.m. on May 4, and customers will have the rest of the day to shop at the new store.
