Ponca City woman dies while off roading

Three adults were off roading in a 2014 Kawasaki when they jumped a terrace and went 50 feet in the air killing Roxanne Cooley.

The Department of Public Safety report said Cooley, 37 was the second passenger and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Barton Graham, 42 was driving the KRT800 Kawasaki and was transported by ambulance to the Ponca City Medical Center.

He was treated and released with internal head, arm and neck injuries and the DPS report said he did have an odor of alcohol.

William Cannon, 43 was the first passenger who was partially ejected, but had no injuries.

The trio were riding on private property at 3501 E. Coleman Rd, one mile north and 1.6 miles east of Ponca City.

When they jumped the terrace and went airborne the Kawasaki nose dived, then rolled 1/2 times and barrel rolled 1/2 times.

DPS said the accident happened at 1:20 Sunday morning.

No one was wearing a helmet and Graham and Cannon were wearing seatbelts, while Cooley was not.

The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
