Ponca City Schools saddened by death of East Middle School student

The Ponca City Public School district is sad to report that it has confirmed the death of one of its students on July 22.

“We are very saddened by this loss to our school community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends at this difficult time,” Superintendent Shelley Arrott said.

The district is making counseling available to any Ponca City School student over the next few weeks, if needed.   Any interested student may contact Kirk Hollis, district therapist, at (580) 718-3827.
