Several Ponca City residents were injured in a collision which occurred at 3:41 p.m. Thursday, June 29, on U.S. 60 at City View Road, 1.5 miles east of Ponca City in Osage County.

John M. Donaldson, 52, of Ponca City, was driving a 2008 Toyota Tundra southbound on City View Road at a stop sign. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states he failed to yield to an eastbound 2015 Chevrolet Suburban driven by William R. Willaford, 34, of Ponca City.

Donaldson refused treatment at the scene for internal trunk injuries, the Highway Patrol report said.

Willaford was transported by private vehicle to Alliance Health Hospital in Ponca City, where he was treated and released with trunk external, arm, leg and trunk internal injuries.  He was later admitted to the hospital.

Four juvenile girls who were passengers in the Willaford vehicle were transported by private vehicle to Alliance Health in Ponca City. They were 13, 2, 11, and 10  years old. Each of the girls had trunk injuries and  the 13-year-old also  had leg injuries.

The Highway Patrol said Donaldson’s vehicle rolled 1/4 time from the collision.
