The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a personal injury collision occurred about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 33 about 9 miles east of Watonga in Blaine County.

The patrol said  the accident involved a 2004 Ford Ranger driven by Bryan Howard Baxter, 38, of Clinton, Oklahoma.

Baxter was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal and arm injuries.

The second vehicle involved was a 2009 Ford F-350 driven by Kyle Dwayne Tapp, 54, of Ponca City. Tapp was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Kingfisher Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, where he was treated and released.

A passenger in Tapp’s vehicle, Leslie Daniel Banner, 27, of Ponca City, was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Kingfisher Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher, Oklahoma where she was treated and released.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated Baxter’s vehicle was westbound on State Highway 33 and Tapp’s vehicle was east bound on State Highway 33. Baxter’s vehicle crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck Tapp’s vehicle head-on. Baxter’s vehicle departed the roadway to the right, rolling one time and coming to rest on its top. Tapp’s vehicle departed the roadway to the right and remained upright on its wheels.
