The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a personal injury collision occurred about 2:05 a.m. Saturday on US60 at the intersection of County Road S, about 4.5 miles west of Ponca City in Kay County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2001 Harley Davidson driven by Brandon H Buell, 35, of Ponca City, OK. Buell was transported by Ponca City Ambulance to Alliance Health Ponca City where he was admitted in stable condition for trunk internal injuries.

A passenger in Buell’s vehicle, Kelli L. Briley (sic), 34, of Ponca City, OK was uninjured.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated Buell’s vehicle was eastbound on US60. Buell’s vehicle departed the roadway to the right, lost control and impacted the dirt road side. As the vehicle lost control Briley jumped off the vehicle, and the driver remained with the vehicle as it came to rest. The report indicates that helmets were not in use. The cause of the collision is reported as inattentive driving.
