Ponca City Public Schools thankful for great season and community support

Ponca City Now - November 14, 2019 1:40 pm

The Ponca City Wildcat Football season came to an end Friday night, Nov. 8.

The Wildcats finished the season with a 5-5 record, narrowly missing the state playoffs due to overall point rankings in the district. The Cats have made steady improvement under Head Football Coach Scott Harmon and his staff, and they have been very dedicated to making progress.

Superintendent Shelley Arrott said, “Thank you to the team, parents, coaches, teachers, sponsors, band, cheerleaders, Hi-Steppers, color guard, and patrons for giving their all to make this season great. Thank you to the fans for filling the stands to support all of our students performing. Thank you to the people of Ponca City for supporting bond issues allowing us to provide facilities that demonstrate to our students they are highly valued and worthy of high-quality facilities in which to excel academically and in their extra-curricular activities. Wildcat Pride and Spirit are on the rise, and we are excited about what the future has to offer!”
