The Ponca City Board of Commissioners met in executive session during Monday night’s meeting to consider the potential purchase, other acquisition, appraisal or sale of real property consisting of three individual parcels in Ponca City.

After returning to open session, the board voted to approve acquisition of one parcel and declined to take any action on the other two parcels.

City Attorney Michael Vanderburg said Wednesday morning that action on the acquisition has not taken place yet. He anticipates meeting with the attorney representing a party who wishes to donate a parcel of land south of the Ponca City Airport on Thursday to finalize the paperwork.

Vanderburg said the parcel would be donated at no cost to the city, and he did not anticipate any impediment to the transaction.
