Ponca City Police Department Raising Funds for “Shop With a Cop” Project

Ponca City Now - October 11, 2022 6:52 am

The Ponca City Police Department is gearing up for our annual Shop with a Cop project for Christmas.
The department works with different organizations to identify families who may need some help with Christmas gifts for children. Annually, the department receives help from Phillips 66, Wal-Mart, and many other businesses and individuals to provide Christmas shopping trips for 50+ young people.
This year, as a way to raise funds for Shop with a Cop, the Ponca City Police Department is going to have “Beards for Santa”. Ponca City Police Officers who wish to participate will be raising funds to support the Shop with a Cop project, and if they are able to get at least $100 pledged/donated, they can grow a beard beginning November 1st.
Beards are normally against policy for officers in uniform.
This will continue through the time they complete the project in early December.
If you wish to donate to the project, checks can be made out to the Ponca City Police Foundation, and sent to 200 E. Oklahoma Ave, Ponca City, Ok. 74601.
If you want to direct that check to support any specific officer in his quest, just note that on the memo line.
