Ponca City Police Asking for Help Identifying Suspect

Bank Investigation Update:
PCPD Investigators have spoken with representatives of Equity Bank and confirmed the suspect in this incident used two separate forms of fraudulent identification and a fraudulent Social Security Number. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Ponca City Police Department.

Original: Ponca City Police are asking for help identifying a man who recently cashed a check that wasn’t his.

On Saturday, April 16, at 11:58 AM, a male walked into Equity Bank at 1417 East Hartford Avenue and cashed a stolen $9000 check.

The check was supposed to have been mailed to a subject in Forgan, OK.

It is unknown how the male obtained the check, but he did not have permission to cash it.
