Ponca City Man Killed in Accident in Osage County on Sunday

Osage County-

A fatality collision occurred on Sunday December 12th at approximately 3:20 on Old River Road at Sherwin Ave, approximately 1 mile south and 1 mile east of Ponca City in Osage County.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Lincoln MKX driven by Bennie Ray Henderson age 71 of Ponca City was traveling northbound on Old River Road and drifted to right, departing the roadway and crossing over Sherwin Ave, then impacted the culvert.

Henderson was transported by Ponca City EMS to Ponca City Hospital where he died from injuries sustained in the accident.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Crompton of the Kay/ Noble detachment of Troop K and assisted by Ponca City Ambulance and McCord Volunteer Fire Department.
