According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, an injury collision occurred on the 2nd of May at approximately 3:26 a.m. hours on Airport Road eastbound, at Fairgrounds Road, approximately 1 mile east of Stillwater.

The first vehicle described in the OHP report is a 2007 Dodge Caliber driven by Andrew Jenkins, 19, of Perkins, OK. He was transported by Lifenet to Stillwater Medical Center, and admitted in good condition with head, trunk external and arm injuries.

One of his passengers was Jacob Tollette, 23, of Ponca City. He was transported by Lifenet to Stillwater Medical Center and admitted in good condition with head, trunk external, arm and leg injuries.

The second passenger was identified as 20-year-old K’launi McClure, age 20, of Stillwater. She was taken by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in poor condition with head, trunk external, trunk internal, arm and leg injuries.

What Happened: Jenkins’ vehicle was eastbound on Airport Road, racing another vehicle, and failed to stop at the intersection of Airport Road and Fairgrounds Road. It departed the roadway to the right, struck a fence and became airborne crossing a creek, then striking an embankment and rolling 1 and a half times before coming to rest on its front bumper in the creek.

This resulted in pinning the front seat passenger in the vehicle. The passenger was extricated by the Payne County Sherriff’s Department and Stillwater Fire Department.

The OHP report lists the driver as allegedly driving while under the influence, and lists the same as the cause of the accident.
