Ponca City Man Injured in 3-vehicle Accident

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a personal injury collision occurred 08/31/2020 at approximately 12:07 p.m. at US-60, 1/10th of a mile west of City View Road, 1 mile east of Ponca City.

The first vehicle, a 2019 Mack tractor, was being driven by David Mallow, age 58, of Pawhuska, He was not injured.

The second vehicle, a 2017 Victory Motorcycle, was driven by Hamid Saghani, age 43, of Ponca City.  He was transported by Ponca City EMS to the Ponca City Hospital and admitted in fair condition with internal trunk and head injuries.

The third vehicle, a 2017 GMC Pickup, was being driven by James Hight, age 59, also of Ponca City. Hight was not injured in the accident.

According to the report, the first vehicle was stopped in the center turn lane waiting to turn right into a private drive on the south side of US-60. Meanwhile, the second vehicle was Eastbound, in the eastbound lane of US-60. The 3rd vehicle was stopped in the private drive on the south side of US-60 waiting to turn onto US-60. The second vehicle swerved to the shoulder to avoid a collision, but the first and second vehicles both collided. The second vehicle then departed the roadway to the right and struck the third vehicle.
