Ponca City man dies in early morning accident

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol police report, a Ponca City man died after being ejected from a truck. Chris Richter, 18 died Tuesday afternoon one day after the wreck.

A group of three men were driving eastbound on SH-3 just west of Little, Okla. in Pushmataha County Monday morning at 8:19. They ran off the right side of the road, struck a private drive embankment and rolled an unknown amount of times.According to the OHP report, Richer was the only one ejected.

Richter was transported by EagleMed to St. Francis in Tulsa with head and internal trunk injuries before he died Tuesday at 3:30. The other two men were checked into hospitals and later released.
