Ponca City High School Hall of Fame Committee seeks nominations

Ponca City Now - March 27, 2019 10:26 am

The Ponca City High School Hall of Fame Committee seeks nominations for this year’s induction, which will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Carolyn Renfro Banquet Center.

Plans are to induct five to 10 alumni this year. All previous nominees will be considered as well for this year’s inductees.

The Ponca City High School Hall of Fame was established to bring honor to a Ponca City High School alumni, living or deceased, who has achieved outstanding accomplishments in their career.

In honoring these individuals, part of the plan is to exhibit their pictures in a prominent place at Po-Hi, as an inspiration to students as they pass through the halls now and in the future.

Nomination forms are available at the Ponca City High School Hall of Fame Facebook page or at www.pcps.us within a link under the Ponca City High School Hall of Fame logo.

Deadline for nominations is May 1. All Ponca City High School alumni are invited to participate in this important nomination process.

If there is a person who has achieved outstanding accomplishments in their career and is a graduate of Ponca City High School, please nominate them and send your nomination form to: Ponca City Public Schools, 613 E. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

The Committee is also looking for class sponsors for the event. Previous class sponsors were the Class of 1954 and Class of 1966. Sponsors are recognized at the event and in the program.
