The Ponca City Police Department is teaming up with the local Walgreen Pharmacy for this Saturday’s Drug Take -Back.

The mobile command center will be parked in the parking lot of Walgreen’s, 2300 North 14th Street, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4.

The Drug Take-Back is a way to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Unused drugs that are flushed contaminate the water supply. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment. This take-back program is the best way to dispose of old drugs. Unused or expired medications are a public safety issue leading to accidental poisoning, overdose and abuse.
