Ponca City Now - June 8, 2015 9:46 am

A 911 call received Saturday morning at approximately 5:09 a.m. about a man suffering from a gun shot wound which apparently was self-inflicted. The investigation is continuing.

The call prompted police and ambulance personnel to respond to an apartment within The Timbers complex, located at 2201 N 14th.

Police have determined that there were as many as 20 people in the apartment when 18-year-old Frank Kent III shot himself. However, only three remained there with Kent when responders arrived. Kent died from his injuries.

If you were in the apartment and have not yet spoken to police, contact Detective Division at 767-0376 or the Ponca City Area Crime Stoppers at 762-5100.
