Police seek information in assault on Sunset Street

The Communications Center received a 911 call from a resident in the 400 block of South Ash about 4 p.m. Monday reporting that a male had been stabbed in the neck. Police and ambulance personnel responded.

Police located the area where the actual assault occurred and that was in the 400 block of South Sunset.

The 25-year-old male actually received a puncture wound to his cheek. He was transported by ambulance to Alliance Ponca City, treated and released.

Witnesses told police that they saw the altercation between the victim and a man wearing black clothing, a black mask and riding a black scooter or moped. The investigation is continuing.
