Police Make Second Arrest in Ponca City Homicide Case

On July 13, at 1:48 am, the Ponca City Police Department received a report of a gunshot victim near the Paladin Apartments. Police located 38-year-old Andrew Lee Barton outside the 700 building with a single gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to Alliance Medical, where he was pronounced dead.

After gathering evidence at the scene and interviewing witnesses, Detectives produced multiple leads.

On July 13, at 10:04 am, Ponca City Police arrested 18-year-old Kennis Rhodd for murder in the second degree and obstruction of justice.

On July 20, Ponca City police Department sought the public’s help in locating 15-year-old Anthony B. Leclair.

Leclair was wanted on several outstanding felony warrants, had previously escaped custody, and Police needed to speak with him about possible involvement in this homicide investigation.

On July 26, LeClair was located by Ponca City Police Officers, and was arrested.

He has been transported to a juvenile lockup facility.

The homicide investigation is ongoing, and Leclair will be interviewed by Detectives.
