ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) – Police in Ardmore shot and killed a suspect who was wanted in a string of shootings including one that wounded two federal agents.

The Oklahoman reports that Henry Jackson was killed during a shootout around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt says that earlier in the evening, police and federal agents who had been looking for Jackson, found him in a neighborhood in northeast Ardmore. Jackson opened fire, wounding two federal agents.

Ardmore Police Chief Ken Grace says that after a massive search, Jackson was found again about three hours later. He opened fire and officers returned fire, killing him.

Jackson was wanted in two other shootings that happened Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon. Police say none of the victims in those shootings suffered life-threatening injuries.
