Police, deputies arrest stabbing suspect; woman accused of harboring felon

Officers and investigators from the Ponca City Police Department, assisted by deputies from the Kay County Sheriff’s Office,  arrested 24-year-old Ponca City resident Dylan Washington about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Washington was located at the Pioneer Place Apartments at 715 Monument in Ponca City and he was taken into custody without incident.

Also arrested was 24-year-old Ponca City resident Monica Dent on a complaint of felony harboring a fugitive.  Both subjects were transported to the Ponca City Police Department.

Washington was arrested on a Kay County District Court warrant for assault with a deadly weapon after a former felony conviction, in connection to a stabbing that took place on Saturday, Aug. 10.  The victim, 37-year-old Neli Martinez of Tulsa, has been released from the hospital.

Washington’s bond is currently set at $1,000,000.
