Po-Hi Symphony String Orchestra earns Superior Rating at OSSAA contest

EDMOND — The Po-Hi Symphony String Orchestra earned a Superior rating at the Oklahoma State Secondary Activities Association Regional String Orchestra Contest held at Edmond Santa Fe High School on Tuesday.

The orchestra is under the direction of Paula Cochran, with assistant directors Katie Rolf, Ella Gordon, and Andrew Orr.

“We are thrilled to be continuing the legacy of Mr. Dan Larson by earning Superior ratings. There is nothing more satisfying than directing a group of students who not only play well technically, but play with heart,” Cochran said. “This rating reflects their hard work and commitment to excellence.”

Join the Po-Hi Symphony String Orchestra at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in the Ponca City School Concert Hall for its Side-by-Side performance with the Oklahoma State University Symphony Orchestra.
