Po-Hi Symphonic Orchestra Earns Three Superior Ratings

The Ponca City High School Symphonic Orchestra earned three superior ratings on stage Wednesday afternoon at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
This group of students includes 53 orchestra students and 30 band members.
The group performed “Procession of the Sardar” arranged by Isaac and “On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss” by Holsinger.
These two pieces will be showcased at the Orchestras in Review concert on Thursday, March 3.
The Symphony Strings earned three excellent ratings in the sight-reading room.
Director Paula Cochran would like to thank all of the students and directors for their hard work today. “It takes a village!” she said.
A special thank you also goes to Katie Rolf, Ella Gordon, Cassidy Broome, Andrew Orr, Dineo Heilmann, Dan Larson and Dr. John Clinton.
The Orchestras in Review Concert on March 3 will begin at 7 p.m. in the Ponca City Schools Concert Hall. Admission is free and this concert will feature fifth through 12th-grade orchestras.
