Po-Hi Prom Scheduled for April 16 at the Marland Mansion

The 2022 Ponca City High School prom will be held Saturday, April 16 at the Marland Mansion. The Grand March will begin at 6 p.m. The theme of the 2022 Ponca City High School Prom is “Romance in the City/New York.” The colors are black, white, and silver.
In the case of inclement weather the school will announce any change in plans by 3 p.m. Saturday evening. Parking inside the Mansion gates will be limited to students attending prom and prom security only.
We appreciate Ponca City community members who support and watch the Grand March. Please remember to respect the mansion grounds by keeping your area clean. We also ask those who watch the Grand March not to cause students to pause for long periods of time for photos. Royalty will promenade last and the coronation will immediately follow. Please wait to leave your seat until the coronation has ended.
The 2022 candidates for Ponca City High School Prince and Princess are (alphabetical by last name of princess candidate) Jill Jackson and Tabron Stanton, Autumn Leist and Jay Glowacki, and Promyce Rowland and Clay Cain
Jill Jackson is the daughter of Ann and Scott Jackson. Jill has been a Po-Hi Stepper for four years and is the captain. She is also the Student Council Vice President and National Honor Society President. She has been involved in youth traffic court, AIM competition dance, and is a member of St. Luke’s youth group. Next year, Jill will be attending the University of Arkansas and majoring in early childhood education. Jill is being escorted by Tabron Stanton. Tabron is the son of Brooke and Sean Stanton. Tabron has played varsity football and baseball for the Wildcats for three years. He is also a member of the Po-Hi Student Council. He is a member of the Faith Tabernacle youth group. Next year Tabron plans to attend NOC Stillwater and then OSU for business and real estate management.
Autumn Leist is the daughter of April and Jerry Adams. Autumn is the Po-Hi Student Council President. She is also a Po-Hi Stepper lieutenant, FFA reporter, and a member of National Honor Society. She has participated in Youth Traffic Court and has lettered in Tennis. She is a member of St. Luke’s Youth group. Autumn was awarded the President Leadership Council scholarship at Northern Oklahoma College and plans to earn a degree in psychology. Autumn is being escorted by Jay Glowacki. Jay is the son of Jay Sr. and Laura Glowacki. He plays soccer for the Wildcats and is also a member of Student Council. Jay plans to attend college next year to be a game warden.
Promyce Rowland is the daughter of Josh Rowland and Kaci Snyder. Promyce is a member of National Honor Society. She participates in Youth Traffic Court and is a member of the yearbook staff. Next year Promyce plans to go to college to become a dental hygienist. Promyce is being escorted by Clay Cain. Clay is the son of Brandy Alford. Clay played football for the Wildcats and also participated in orchestra. Next year Clay plans to attend college.
The Senior class president is Hattie Steichen. Hattie is the daughter of Marty and Jamie Steichen. Hattie is being escorted by Kaleb Settle. Kaleb is the son of Trisha and Shea Settle.
The Senior class vice-president is Margaret Blackstar. Margaret is the daughter of Ollie and Holly Blackstar. Margaret is being escorted by Jake Liston. Jake is the son of Brad and Katie Liston.
The Senior class secretary is Kalyn Delaney. Kalyn is the daughter of Tasha and Gabriel Smith and Travis Delaney. Kalyn is being escorted by Carson Williams. Carson is the son of Justin and Lindsay Williams.
Luke Hollis is the Junior class president. Luke is the son of Kirk and Kim Hollis. Luke is escorting Emma Gertken. Emma is the daughter of Felicia and Adam Gertken.
The Junior class vice-president is Laney Reynolds. Laney is the daughter of John and Tisha Reynolds. Laney is being escorted by Miguel Garcia. Miguel is the son of Martin and Rebecca McClaflin.
The Junior class secretary is Kylee Hardesty. Kylee is the daughter of Elaine and Ray Sandoval. Kylee is being escorted by Daniel Gutierrez. Daniel is the son of Luis and Lorena Gutierrez.
The Ponca City High School Student Council president is Autumn Leist. Autumn is the daughter of April and Jerry Adams. Autumn is being escorted by Jay Glowacki. Jay is the son of Jay and Laura Glowacki.
The Student Council vice-president is Jill Jackson. Jill is the daughter of Ann and Scott Jackson. Jill is being escorted by Tabron Stanton. Tabron is the son of Brooke and Sean Jackson.
The Student Council Secretary is Charlie Poet. Charlie is the son of Becky and Craig Poet. Charlie is escorting Evie Larson. Evie is the daughter of David and Paige Larson.
The Student Council Treasurer is Kate Branstetter. Kate is the daughter of Rex and Wendy Branstetter. Kate is being escorted by Ethan Stobbe. Ethan is the son of Steve and Wendy Stobbe.
The Student Council historian is Kaden Swords. Kaden is the son of Jayna Taylor, Ryan Taylor, and Shan Swords. Kaden is escorting Katie Hernandez. Katie is the daughter of Kimberly Ramirez.
The prince and princess royalty will promenade as the finale of the Grand March. In an attempt to get students through the promenade in a timely fashion, we ask guests not to cause the students to pause for long periods of time for photos. The coronation will take place immediately following the Grand March, so please be courteous and wait until it concludes before you leave your seat. Also, please remember to pick up your trash and place it in the receptacles provided.
