The Po-Hi DECA Chapter is finishing preparations for the third annual Kindness Workshop. The events will be held every Friday in the month of November at the Washington Prekindergarten Center.

DECA Chapter volunteers will be reading books to the children and conducting learning practices to get the theme of kindness and respect across efficiently. There will also be a poster contest, and children and their parents will receive information about on the first day of the workshop.

The group will be handing out two goody bags each of the three weeks. The goody bags will be given to the two kids who show kindness in a week. The workshop will conclude with a morning assembly to cheer on the achievements students have learned along the way.

The Kindness Workshop is meant to increase awareness of the wonderful possibilities that come from showing kindness and respect to others. Thank you to the DECA Chapter’s Adviser, Heather Monks, and to the Principal of The Pre-K Center, Tina Fisher, for allowing the chapter to bring the community such an amazing opportunity.
