Pioneer Woman supports local artists

The Pioneer Woman is adding a new twist to shop Ponca first.

The museum is introducing the Holiday Happening event.

Robbin Davis, museum director said they sell local artist’s work.

“It is away to celebrate the holidays and shop local, and support our local merchants," Davis said. "We have the Pioneer Woman artist consignment program, we have about 14 or so artists. The majority are from here in Ponca City and the surrounding area.”

These artists will be at the Pioneer Woman on Saturday from 10 to 5.

They will have pieces of artwork, as well as, scarves and jewelery.

Davis said this is an opportunity to get unique gifts.

“It’s a way to support the local artists,offer them a retail opportunity that they might not get otherwise and offer some unique gift items to the general public here in Ponca City and the surrounding area," Davis said.

There will also be have hot chocolate and cider.

The event is free, unless you want to visit the museum.
