Ch. 6 - August 9, 2024 5:57 am

Phillips 66 announced another round of layoffs this week that will impact several sites including Bartlesville.

The company has not revealed the number of employees that will be laid off this time around. Al Ortiz with Phillips 66 in Houston said that the total reductions across the company would be less than one percent.

“Phillips 66 continues to look to ways to position our organization to help advance its strategic priorities and enable more efficient ways of working. As a result, some positions are being eliminated. Total reductions amount to fewer than one percent of our employee count company-wide. We understand what this means for affected employees and are committed to treating them fairly and respectfully. Bartlesville, like various other locations, were impacted by these changes,” said Ortiz.

In August of 2023, Phillips 66 eliminated 100 employee positions and contractors in Bartlesville.
