The second vehicle involved was a 2007 Honda Odyssey van driven by Marjorie Lee Mendicki (SIC), 68, of Edmond, OK. Mendicki was transported by ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated Jones’ vehicle was northbound on SH99, Mendicki’s vehicle was southbound on SH99. Jones attempted to turn left, failed to yield to oncoming traffic, and struck Mendicki’s vehicle head on. Seatbelts were equipped and in use. A front airbag deployed in Gilstrap’s vehicle.
