The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a personal injury collision occurred about 11:47 p.m. Saturday on I35 southbound at mile marker 190, about 4 miles north of Perry, OK in Noble County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2011 Kia Optima driven by Tanner Steward, 23, of Fort Smith, AR. Steward was transported by AirEvac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.

The second vehicle involved was a 2013 Ford F250 driven by Markus Barker (SIC), 67, of Kosse, TX. Barker was not injured.

The Highway Patrol is still investigating the circumstances and the cause of the collision. Seatbelts were equipped in both vehicles. Steward was wearing a seatbelt; it is unknown at this time whether or not Barker was wearing a seatbelt. Airbags were equipped in both vehicles. Steward’s airbag deployed, but Barker’s did not. The condition of both drivers was apparently normal.
