TONKAWA – A driver in a one-vehicle collision was injured about 6:30 a.m. Thursday  on U.S. 77 south of Oakland, just south of the Tonkawa city limits.

Moss Coleman Cook, 26, of Perry, was driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Cook was distracted by objects in the vehicle, went left of center, departed  the roadway to the left and rolled the vehicle a quarter turn, coming to rest on the driver’s side.

He was transported by ambulance to Blackwell Hospital in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.

The Highway Patrol determined inattention was the cause of the collision. Cook was not wearing a seat belt.
