PCPS Superintendent Issues Update

Mike Seals - April 19, 2020 8:41 pm

PCPS Superintendent, Shelly Arrott, issued the following update for all students for the upcoming week:

Washington PreK and all elementary school Continuous Learning Activities pick-up for the weeks of April 20 and April 27 are Monday, April 20 from 4:00-6:00 PM. However, if you prefer to download and print the activities, they will be online by 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 19.

If you have them available, bring packets from the weeks of April 6 and April 13 with a date of the completion of the activity in the box during the collection time for new activities. There will be a bin you may use to submit the previous activities.

If students did not complete all the activities, IT IS FINE. You do NOT have to bring the actual activities, but teachers would love to see student progress. Some students may have sent activities to their teacher via email. Please remember Continuous Learning Activities DO NOT affect a student’s grade.

The purpose of Continuous Learning is to keep students thinking and problem solving and to give our students and teachers a chance to stay connected. The final packet pick-up for Washington PreK and all elementary schools will be Monday, May 4. The last day for Continuous Learning is May 8, 2020.

REMINDER: Principals from every site in the district are in the office each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM to answer questions or deliver packets curbside if you cannot come to the scheduled packet pick-up time.
