PCPS Issues Safety Protocol Chart

Mike Seals - July 29, 2020 10:06 pm

The Ponca City Public School Board of Education approved safety protocols involving Instruction, Health Protocols including Face Coverings, and Activities based on the Oklahoma Covid-19 Alert System.

All students, staff, and visitors will be required to wear face coverings in buildings and on buses. However, at the current Yellow Level, frequent face covering breaks will be created that allow for appropriate distancing.

Guidelines for these breaks will be deemed by administration, and an example would include taking students outside or to a large area to allow for effective distancing during the break.

Specifics regarding limiting public events will be determined at the August 10 Regular Board of Education Meeting.

The Superintendent will create a video on Thursday, July 30 to explain the protocols and will issue a full press release providing exact verbiage for each protocol.
