Superintendent Shelley Arrott said, “It was such an honor to present the Wildcat of the Week Award for Week #6 to Erik Hernandez! When I notified the administrators at Po-Hi to let them know the Wildcat of the Week for Week #6, every single one of them were elated and said that Erik exemplifies the Wildcat Way to the fullest every day. Based on the information from the nomination and the comments from the office staff and administrators, Erik has an ambitious, charismatic, and excuse free-personality, and I could certainly see those traits the moment I met him.”
“Eric plays Wildcat Soccer, maintains a super high GPA, and serves as an office aide at Po-Hi. Erik is super helpful to others and goes above and beyond what is expected of him in all that he does. He is a bright spot in the office and interacts pleasantly and is helpful to all who enter. Even with the adversity of living in a global pandemic, he is positive and passionate about life and puts his best effort into whatever he sets his mind to.”
“Erik moved to Ponca City from Jalisco, Mexico only 2 years ago and his dedication, drive, and positive outlook on life is a testament to his flexibility and being able to adapt to change. Erik’s dream is to attend OSU and his career goal is to become a lawyer; I have no doubt he will achieve this goal!”
“Erik, it was so great to present this award to you to, and on behalf of the entire district, we are so happy you moved to Ponca City and became a Wildcat two years ago! You are a true role model for others to follow, both students and adults. When someone possesses the outstanding personality traits you do, these traits transition to any situation.”
