PCPS Announces Wildcat of the Week: Brooke Pruitt

Mike Seals - January 26, 2021 11:12 pm

It has definitely been a tough year for Wildcat of the Week presentations due to isolations/quarantines and Distance Learning, so we are excited to bring you the Heather Cannon Wildcat of the Week #7 for the 2020-2021 School Year. The first Wildcat of the Week Award in 2021 is presented to PO-HI Senior, Brooke Pruitt.

Superintendent Shelley Arrott said, “It was so great to see students in the building on January 25 and to finally present the Wildcat of the Week Award #7 to Brooke!  Brooke displays the Wildcat Way in everything she does. She is captain for not only Wildcat Varsity Cheer, but also the Wildcat Cross Country Team and shows support to her fellow teammates both on and off the field of play. Not only is she a great teammate for extracurricular activities, Brooke is also an exemplary student.”

“In addition to her involvement with activities, she is taking 10 hours of concurrent coursework at the University Center and maintains a 4.0 GPA. She certainly has a busy schedule, but she also manages to maintain a part-time job! Any spare time Brooke has is spent with family and friends for whom she is very loyal. When she graduates from high school, Brooke will have completed enough college courses to begin OSU classified as a sophomore. Brooke is going to major in Biochemistry and hopes to become an anesthesiologist. I have no doubt she will meet this goal. She is such a driven person, which take a great deal of personal discipline.”

“Brooke, it was so exciting to present this well-deserved award to you, and I want you to know you make PCPS and your community proud! You are a true role model for others to follow, both students and adults. Having such a strong work ethic and determined discipline will lead you to any opportunity you desire. Thank you for representing the Ponca City Wildcats with such pride. You will be an amazing anesthesiologist and we will all remember your drive, dedication, devotion, and for being such an admirable and determined Ponca City Wildcat!”
