PCPS Announces Two Special Athletic-related Events

The Ponca City Public school Athletic Department has two exciting announcements to make!  

Baseball
The Ponca City Public School Athletic Department has an exciting announcement to make! On Saturday, April 17, Air Evac Lifeteam Helicopter will be doing a ball drop before the PCPS vs Putnam City West baseball game at Ponca City High School. The ball drop will follow the National Anthem at 12:50 p.m. Air Evac will land in center field and deliver the game ball. PCPS Athletic Director Jason Leavitt explained, “We encourage fans to come support their Wildcats and enjoy this special event! PCPS Athletics will maintain 50% capacity in the stands; however, spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit in the grass areas on the first base line.

Soccer
On Tuesday, April 20, Air Evac Lifeteam Helicopter will again deliver the game ball for girls and boys varsity soccer PCPS vs. Enid. The ball drop will follow the National Anthem at 5:50 p.m. Air Evac will land on the 50-yardline of Sullins Stadium to deliver the game ball. In addition, this will be Senior Night for our girls’ and boys’ soccer teams. “As always we encourage fans to come support their Wildcats and enjoy this special event! PCPS Athletics will maintain 50% capacity for this event as well.”
