Pawnee man dies in Cimarron Turnpike accident

Douglas H. Kilgariff, 69, of Pawnee, died in an accident about 5:38 a.m. Monday on the Cimarron Turnpike, about 2 miles west anda half mile north of Glencoe in Payne County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Kilgariff appeared to have a medical condition which caused his 2004 Ford F250 pickup to depart the roadway to the left and cross the grass center median, and then cross the eastbound lanes of the turnpike before hitting a guardrail.

The Patrol stat4ed the accident is still under investigation.
