Party to celebrate Ponca City’s 125th birthday on Sept. 7

Ponca City Main Street is throwing a party on Friday, Sept. 7, in honor of Ponca City’s 125^th birthday!  Join us downtown from 5 to 11 p.m. as we celebrate our community.

The event will be held at the Veterans Plaza, at Fourth Street and Grand Avenue.  All ages welcome!

Schedule:

5 p.m.  – Oklahoma! music on speakers.

5:30 – Hot dogs are ready to serve, along with water and sodas.

6 p.m. – Welcome by Mayor Homer Nicholson.

6:10 – Presentation of Colors.

6:15 – National Anthem.

6:20 – Oklahoma!

6:30 – 6:45  Native American drummers, singers and dancers.

6:50 – Close, Mayor Nicholson.

7 p.m. – Live music, Band #9.

8:35 (or dusk) – Oklahoma! the Musical

This is a free, non-ticketed event and all ages are welcome. There will be hot dogs, water, pop, cupcakes and popcorn available.
