Parts of Hartford Avenue East of 14th Street Will be Closed for Reconstruction in January

Ponca City Now - December 30, 2022 3:32 pm

Sober Brothers, Inc. has entered a contract with the City of Ponca City to reconstruct Hartford Avenue from NE Woodland Road to El Camino Street.
Work will include the installation of a new 8-inch water line to replace the old deteriorated water line and reconstruction of the concrete pavement. This section of paving on Hartford Avenue was undermined by a large water main break which has severely damaged the pavement.
The road will be closed to traffic beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
During the project, Hartford Avenue will be closed to all traffic from the east side of NE Woodland Road to the east side of El Camino Street. Vehicles will not be permitted in the work area. Signing and barricades will be in place informing motorists of the construction. Traffic will be re-routed to the north on Pecan Road and Turner Street to Donner Avenue to detour around the construction.
The total construction time for the project is estimated to be 90 calendar days.
Any questions regarding this project may be directed to Sober Brothers, Inc. at 580-765-5503 or to the City Engineering department at 580-767-0383.
