The Ponca City Parks and Recreation board will have its monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 15 in the Barnes Room on the second floor of City Hall, 516 East Grand Avenue.

The agenda includes communications from the Chair and members, as well as a report from Parks and Recreation Director Eric Newell. Newell’s report will include updates on the Lake Ponca walking trail, a new fishing dock location, other capital items and the RecPlex.

Committee reports are scheduled from the recreation, parks and lake committees.

In a return to old business, the board will discuss and may take action on the old concession stand at Lake Ponca. The item was tabled from the June 20 meeting for more discussion by the lake committee.

In new business, the board will elect a new chair and vice chair, and any citizens’ comments will be heard.

The meeting is open to the public.
