Parents of Pro Golfer Grayson Murray Say He Died by Suicide

WASHINGTON (TND) — The parents of pro golfer Grayson Murray said Sunday that their son died by suicide.
Terry and Eric Murray released a statement via the PGA Tour confirming his cause of death and said, “Life wasn’t always easy for Grayson, and although he took his own life, we know he rests peacefully now.” Please respect our privacy as we work through this incredible tragedy, and please honor Grayson by being kind to one another,” the statement reads. “If that becomes his legacy, we could ask for nothing else.”

Grayson Murray’s death at the age of 30 was first reported Saturday, one day after the two-time PGA Tour winner withdrew from the Charles Schwab Cup Challenge at Colonial.
He won the Sony Open this year and the Barbasol Championship the year before.
