OU changes student section rules for upcoming football games

The Associated Press - September 19, 2020 12:39 pm

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The University of Oklahoma is making a number of changes to its student seating section for next week’s football game.

OU announced the changes on Friday after what it described as “disappointing behaviors” by students during last week’s season opener in Norman. Students were seen packed into the section without wearing masks in violation of stadium rules.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission reports the numbers of new unemployment claims and the four-week average of continuing claims have declined for the 12th consecutive week.

State health officials on Friday reported 1,249 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the state and nine additional deaths.
