OSU Cowgirls beat Northwestern State

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – Liz Donohoe scored 15 points, Brittany Atkins added 14 points and No. 18 Oklahoma State ended its nonconference schedule with an 89-44 win over Northwestern State on Monday night.

The Cowgirls (10-1) never struggled, opening on a 30-5 run and leading 50-20 at halftime. LaShawn Jones, Roshunda Johnson and Kaylee Jensen each scored 12, and Brittney Martin added 10. Johnson also had six assists and five steals.

Oklahoma State shot 59.7 percent from the field while holding Northwestern State (5-6) to 30.2 percent.

Janelle Perez was 3 of 5 from 3-point range to lead the Lady Demons with 13 points. Chelsea Rogers added nine points and Presley Owens scored eight.

Northwestern State took 27 of its 53 field goal attempts from beyond the arc, making nine. But the Lady Demons were outrebounded 41-24 and had 17 turnovers compared the OSU’s eight.
