OSDH Takes Wellness Services on the Road in Northcentral Oklahoma

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State Department of Health District 3 mobile wellness unit will offer public health services throughout January in locations across northcentral Oklahoma.
OSDH District 3 serves a seven-county region including Creek, Kay, Lincoln, Noble, Osage, Pawnee and Payne Counties.
The “Mobile Health on the Go” mobile wellness unit is part of a statewide fleet mobilized earlier this year by OSDH to help reach underserved communities with vital services, including the COVID-19 vaccine.
Matt Adams, Coordinating Nurse for the mobile wellness unit, states: “We are excited to offer our services to the in the community. We realize that access to our county health departments can be a challenge for some. We hope to fill that gap by bring the mobile unit to the areas that need us.”
Services offered by the mobile wellness unit include: STD exams, immunizations, COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, WIC services, pregnancy testing, blood pressure screenings and other public health services.
The OSDH District 3 mobile wellness unit will be at the following locations in January:
Kay County
January 10 and 24– 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Northern Oklahoma College, Renfro Center, Tonkawa, OK
