OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Epic Charter Schools investigation by the OSBI remains very active. As such, this is the only statement to be released by the OSBI at this time.

In July 2019, Governor Kevin Stitt requested that State Auditor & Inspector Cindy Byrd conduct an audit of Epic Charter Schools and all of its related entities. In the request, the Governor wanted the scope of the audit to include any audits done in the past three years and any federal audits during the same time period.

Today, Auditor Byrd released the results of their audit. Director Adams thanks Auditor Byrd and her team for their thoroughness during this year-long process. The findings will be utilized as the OSBI continues to unravel the many layers of this complicated and intricate investigation.

The ultimate goal of this investigation, or any other, is to find the truth. The OSBI will continue in that pursuit.
