OSBI investigating officer-involved shooting in Stilwell

Just after 5 a.m. Friday, a suspect was involved in a drive-by shooting in Stilwell.

Officers spotted the vehicle described to be involved. Officers attempted to pulled over the vehicle, but the driver refused, leading officers on a pursuit.

The vehicle crashed in the area of 814 E. Road and 4680 N. Road in Stilwell. The suspect got out of the vehicle and began running from police, and officers gave chase.

During that chase, the suspect fired a weapon at officers. At least one officer returned fire. This happened several times. The officer said he believes he hit the suspect, but he continued to flee and has not yet been found.

No officers were injured.

The Stilwell Police Department requested OSBI special agents investigate the shooting, and several agents are on scene.
